I just went to IMDB and looked at the Box Office tops. I am in total shock. "The Pacifier" is #1 in the box office over "Be Cool." Now, I'm not one to judge a movie too harshly before I've seen it myself, but please! Vin Diesel, Navy Seal, forced to protect a family and becomes "family man"? I mean, "Be Cool" was no movie of the year, but how in the world is "The Pacifier" doing better? I mean, just look at these 2 photos... which would you rather see....

Vin Diesel....

Or Travolta...

I don't know why everyone is so fascinated with Vin Diesel, but seriously... give it up!
Ever have a day when everything just works out? Me either, but today was pretty close. If you have seen "Meet the Fockers," it was kind of like the opening montage in the film where Gaylord gets all the green lights and is upgraded to first class. I need more days like this. It's just a good reminder that God is so good and that he doesn't have to always drag me through the dirt to get my attention. I wonder if it is OK to ask God for more good days? I think it is. I just hope everything works out for me tomorrow, too and that I didn't waste it all on today....

<lj:music>Resident Evil 2 Game Soundtrack in my head</lj:music>

Well, it seems to be written in stone. The days of the HIT House may soon come to an end. Nothing definite yet, but it really is just a matter of time. Seems everyone wants to live downtown. While the future of my current roommates are not definite yet, most if not all of them will potentially be moving in the next several months. If it doesn't happen in the next several months, it is bound to happen sooner than later, and I really am running out of potential roommates.

That leaves me with some difficult decisions. Do I sell the house or rent it? If I rent it, I will need to do some major work on the house and figure out how to go about the renting thing. Financially, this is the wisest move. I really don't want to sell it, but in alot of ways that would be the most hassle-free. Also, where do I end up if I move out of this house? So many questions and so much up in the air right now. The whole thing just stresses me out.

In alot of ways, it would be nice to do whatever I am going to do before I get backed in a corner. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

(Hey, wait! What am I doing up so late? Don't I have to get up at 7AM tomorrow?!)

The Pot Calling The Kettle Black

___________________________________________

If this isn't the pot calling the kettle black...
___________________________________________

During President Bush's January 26 White House press conference, Jeff Gannon, Washington bureau chief and White House correspondent for the self-described conservative news outlet Talon News, asked the president the following question:

Thank you. Senate Democratic leaders have painted a very bleak picture of the U.S. economy. [Senate Minority Leader] Harry Reid [D-NV] was talking about soup lines. And [Senator] Hillary Clinton [D-NY] was talking about the economy being on the verge of collapse. Yet in the same breath they say that Social Security is rock solid and there's no crisis there. How are you going to work -- you've said you are going to reach out to these people -- how are you going to work with people who seem to have divorced themselves from reality?

___________________________________________

Apparently this was viewed by the press as an "attack" on Senate Democratic leaders. So now there's a full-scale investigation launched against this Jeff Gannon reporter because he doesn't hate George Bush and asked a simple question about how The President is going to work with people who don't see eye to eye with him. Apparently, his questions are not "hardball" enough for today's press (which is code for he doesn't ask loaded questions to try and trap the president). And of course he's not fit to be a journalist because he actually has political opinions (and has several affiliations and websites displaying his conservatism). Of course, if you are a liberal journalist, you are allowed to have political opinions... but not if you are a conservative.

Why is it that the press can continually "attack" the President of the United States but it is unheard of for a member of the press to allegedly "attack" the Democratic party? So what if it WAS an attack on Senate Democratic leaders? While attempting to discredit this news organization by showing it is an "arm of the Republican Party," the press has shown that they are in fact an "arm of the Democratic Party."

This just really ticks me off. and these are the people that hold up the banner of free speech. If you ask me, the only speech they want free is their own.

By they way, go watch the State of the Union Address tonight at 9PM.

But everyone is looking forward to the arrangement and we should have a good time no matter what. All I know about her is that she is mature, laid-back... lives over in the Waterford area, teaches "Underprivileged" kids (or however is the PC. way to say it nowadays), about my height, and is an overall great person.

I hate set-ups, but I really do have a good feeling about this one. My friend and boss Tom and his wife are attempting to set me up with this girl they know. They want to somehow arrange the four of us doing something together. I usually turn down such attempts, but you get to a certain point in your life where it's time to start taking extreme measures. I hate the idea of a blind date and the meeting someone in this way seems a little strange to me. I mean... I know why I'm there... she knows why she's there... but we gotta pretend like we don't know.

But either way I think it'll be fun. Tom mentioned that the four of us could go to a movie and get a bite to eat. If I don't like this girl then apparently I can just ignore her all night and hang out with Tom. Anyways, they have offered to pay for everything, so I guess ether way I win.

Oddly enough, I'm not that nervous about the whole thing.
